About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Quality Analyst to join our product team and help us ship software we're confident in. You'll test new features, catch problems before they reach customers, and learn the product inside out — with support from the developers and product managers you work alongside.

This is a good fit if you're early in your testing career, curious, and enjoy figuring out how something works well enough to find where it breaks. You don't need a finance background — but you should be someone who asks questions until the domain makes sense.

This is a full-time, on-site role based out of our Kolkata office.

What You'll Do

Testing

- Learn each recent feature quickly and test it the way a real user would work with it
- Write and run manual test cases based on requirements and user stories
- Cover the full range — regression, exploratory, negative, and cross-browser testing
- Verify data as well as screens: check that calculations, matching, and imports produce the right numbers
- Retest fixes and help keep our test cases up to date as the product changes

Reporting and tracking

- Log defects with clear steps to reproduce, and follow them through to closure
- Flag risks and gaps early, while there's still time to act on them
- Keep the team posted

Working with the team

- Work day-to-day with developers, product managers, and designers in our Agile process
- Take part in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Ask questions when requirements are unclear rather than assuming and testing the wrong thing

Learning and improving

- Build up your understanding of the product and the domain, with support from the team




- Suggest practical improvements to how we test
- Build up test documentation so knowledge doesn't sit with one person

What We're Looking For

- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in software testing
- Experience testing web applications
- Quick to pick up unfamiliar territory — you'll be learning how CPG finance works, and we'll help, but curiosity does most of the work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with genuine attention to detail
- Some exposure to Agile or Scrum ways of working, or a keenness to learn them
- Clear written communication — a well-written bug report saves everyone hours
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility — someone who follows through and owns outcomes, not just tasks
- A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic, comfortable working closely with developers and product managers
- Based in Kolkata or nearby, and willing to work from our office

Nice to Have

- Working knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium or Postman
- Experience testing APIs
- Basic SQL — enough to check that the data behind the screen is right
- Experience testing mobile applications
- ISTQB or a similar testing certification
- Any exposure to finance, accounting, CPG, or B2B software products
