Role & responsibilities

Learn & Train

- Complete Skylarn's structured AI engineering curriculum LLMs, RAG, agents, prompt engineering, and Python AI stacks
- Build hands-on mini-projects under the guidance of Senior AI Engineers
- Study and apply SDLC best practices: requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Participate in daily code reviews, stand-ups, and sprint ceremonies

Build & Contribute

- Develop features for Skylarn's AI products and enterprise client projects
- Write clean, well-documented Python code following team standards
- Debug and test AI components agents, pipelines, and API integrations
- Contribute to Skylarn's growing reusable AI Skills Library
- Support Senior Engineers in client delivery and technical presentations

Grow & Lead

- Transition to a full-time Junior AI Engineer role upon successful completion of the training program
- Mentor the next cohort of engineers as you advance
- Shape Skylarn's engineering culture, coding standards, and team norms from day one

Preferred candidate profile Academic & Technical Background

- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field strong academic record preferred (top 20% of class or equivalent)




- Foundational knowledge of AI/ML coursework, projects, or self-study in machine learning, NLP, or deep learning
- Solid programming skills in Python; exposure to data structures, algorithms, and OOP
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements to deployment
- Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and basic cloud concepts (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Mindset & Soft Skills

- Startup DNA comfortable with ambiguity, fast-changing priorities, and wearing multiple hats
- Founding team mentality you want to build something from scratch, not just execute tasks
- Robust written and verbal communication able to explain technical ideas clearly
- Curiosity and a bias toward action you explore, experiment, and learn quickly
- Collaborative and coachable you take feedback well and improve fast

Good to Have

- Personal AI/ML projects, Kaggle competitions, or open-source contributions
- Experience with LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI API, or similar frameworks
- Exposure to any AI/ML internship, hackathon, or research project
- Azure or AWS cloud fundamentals certification
