About This Role

We’re looking for a Junior Art Director to own the visual setup and aesthetic execution of our video commerce studio. This role is highly hands-on. You’ll be responsible for making sure every frame looks clean, intentional, on-brand, and camera-ready—from selecting and placing props to setting backgrounds, arranging products, refreshing the studio aesthetic, and maintaining our prop inventory.

Set & Frame Styling

- Set up and style backgrounds, tables, shelves, surfaces, and other shooting environments.
- Arrange products and props within the frame to create a balanced and visually appealing composition.
- Work closely with the videographer/director to ensure framing, angles, backgrounds, and set elements work well on camera.
- Make real-time adjustments to props, products, lighting elements, and compositions during shoots.
- Ensure every setup is camera-ready before filming begins.
- Maintain consistency in the visual language across different videos and shoots.

Props & Studio Styling
- Build and maintain a well-organized prop inventory for the studio.
- Source, organize, label, store, and track props and styling materials.
- Regularly refresh and rotate props to keep the studio environment feeling current and visually interesting.
- Identify gaps in the prop collection and recommend/source new props based on upcoming shoots and content requirements.
- Maintain different prop categories, color palettes, textures, surfaces, and backgrounds for varied visual treatments.
- Ensure props are clean, presentable, and in good condition before use.
- Keep the studio styling areas organized and shoot-ready.

Visual Aesthetics
- Develop and maintain a strong visual standard for the studio and its content.
- Stay aware of current visual trends across social media, e-commerce, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and creator content.
- Bring references and inspiration for sets,



styling, compositions, colour palettes, textures, and props.
- Help evolve the studio's visual identity through small but regular aesthetic refreshes.
- Ensure product presentation feels premium, relevant, and appropriate for the brand being featured.

Shoot Support
- Work closely with producers, videographers, editors, and on-camera talent during shoots.
- Prepare all props and set elements before the shoot.
- Assist with quick set changes and styling changes between videos.
- Troubleshoot visual issues during production—for example, cluttered frames, distracting backgrounds, poor product placement, or mismatched props.
- Reset and organize the set between shoots.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail even in fast-paced, high-volume production environments.

What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in art direction, set styling, visual merchandising, production design, styling, photography, content production, or a similar role.
- A naturally strong visual eye and an instinct for what looks good on camera.
- Strong understanding of composition, color, scale, balance, texture, and visual hierarchy.
- Someone who enjoys being hands-on with physical spaces, objects, props, and products.
- Extremely detail-oriented—you notice when something is slightly off in a frame.
- Organized and systematic when it comes to inventory and studio management.
- Comfortable working quickly and making decisions on set.
- Good understanding of social media and contemporary content aesthetics.
- Solid collaboration skills and the ability to take direction from creative and production teams.
