Better Works HR is a looking for a Junior Accountant who will support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This full-time, on-site role is based in Navi Mumbai and involves recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The role includes preparing basic financial reports, supporting monthly and annual closing activities, and reconciling bank statements and other accounts.

The Junior

Accountant will help manage invoices, expense tracking, and data entry in accounting systems, while coordinating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies. The position also supports compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards, and assists senior finance staff during audits and financial reviews.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in basic accounting principles, including journal entries, ledgers, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g.,



MS Excel); familiarity with ERP or Tally is an advantage.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and financial record-keeping.
- Ability to analyze figures, identify discrepancies, and support timely financial reporting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; internship or 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic taxation, invoicing practices, and statutory compliance is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the finance and accounting function.
