Analyst - Joint Venture Accounting (Healthcare)

Key Responsibilities

- Perform accounting and financial reporting activities for Joint Venture (JV) investments in accordance with US GAAP.

- Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to investment income, capital contributions, distributions, and other JV transactions.

- Account for investments under the Equity Method of Accounting (ASC 323).

- Review and analyze JV trial balances, financial statements, and supporting schedules received from JV partners.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timely.

- Analyze Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and Equity reports of Joint Ventures.

- Perform variance analysis and investigate unusual trends, fluctuations, and accounting issues.

- Prepare investment roll-forwards and ownership schedules for JV entities.

- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities while meeting reporting deadlines.

- Assess and document accounting treatment for capital calls, distributions, ownership changes, and other JV transactions.

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls.

- Support accounting areas related to ASC 323 (Equity Method Investments), ASC 810 (Consolidation).





- Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

- Collaborate with Controllership,Treasury, Legal, and JV management teams.

- Maintain accurate accounting documentation and ensure SOX compliance requirements are met.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.

- 2-5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Reporting, or Joint Venture Accounting.

- Strong knowledge of Joint Venture Accounting and Equity Method Accounting.

- Good understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

- Strong financial statement analysis and analytical skills.

- Experience with General Ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

- Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and financial analysis.

- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle , SAP.

- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Healthcare, Physician Partnership, or Healthcare Joint Venture accounting.

- Exposure to Consolidation Accounting and Investment Accounting.

- Skilled qualification or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or related disciplines preferred.
