About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Merchandiser – South Designs with robust expertise in South Indian diamond jewellery. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of traditional and contemporary South Indian jewellery designs, customer preferences, product development, and market trends.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the complete merchandising process, from understanding design requirements and developing products to coordinating with designers, production teams, and other internal departments to ensure timely and accurate product execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle merchandising and product development for South Indian diamond jewellery collections.
- Have strong knowledge of South Indian jewellery designs, patterns, traditional motifs, and current market preferences.
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into suitable jewellery product concepts.
- Coordinate with designers, CAD teams, production, sourcing, quality, and sales teams for product development.
- Review designs and provide inputs based on market trends, customer preferences, feasibility, and commercial requirements.
- Develop and coordinate new jewellery collections according to seasonal and market requirements.
- Monitor South Indian jewellery market trends, competitor designs, pricing, and changing customer preferences.
- Coordinate product samples, modifications, approvals, and finalization with relevant teams.
- Maintain proper records of product specifications, designs, samples, approvals, and development status.
- Ensure products are developed as per the required design, quality,



specifications, costing, and timelines.
- Work closely with the design team to suggest improvements and modifications to existing and new designs.
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve product development and execution-related issues.
- Support the development of new designs and collections based on regional market demand.
- Track the progress of products from concept/design stage through sampling and production.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of merchandising requirements.
- Analyze customer and market feedback and communicate relevant inputs to the design and product development teams.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends in diamond jewellery, South Indian bridal jewellery, temple-inspired designs, and traditional jewellery.
- Support the sales/business development team with product-related information and market insights.
- Ensure smooth communication between merchandising, design, production, and sales teams.

Required Skills & Expertise
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in jewellery merchandising, preferably in diamond jewellery.
- Strong expertise in South Indian diamond jewellery designs.
- Excellent understanding of South Indian traditional and contemporary jewellery.
- Knowledge of jewellery product development and manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of design trends, customer preferences, and market trends.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with designers, CAD teams, production, and sales teams.
- Strong product sense with an eye for design, detailing, finishing, and commercial viability.
- Good organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple product development activities simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
