Jewellery Merchandiser

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Jewellery Merchandiser to manage assortment planning, inventory, product performance, and Made-to-Order (MTO) coordination. The role will ensure the right products are available at the right time while maintaining healthy inventory and smooth order execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and maintain jewellery assortments across categories, collections, and price points.
- Analyse SKU-wise sales, sell-through, stock cover, margins, and inventory ageing.
- Identify bestsellers, slow-moving and non-moving products and drive inventory rotation.
- Plan replenishment, stock movement, and inventory allocation across channels.
- Forecast demand based on sales trends, seasonality, campaigns, and upcoming launches.
- Maintain optimum stock levels and minimise stock-outs and overstocking.
- Identify assortment gaps and provide commercial inputs for new product/collection planning.
- Manage the MTO order initiation process, coordinating with the Store/Sales team to provide initial product cost estimates.
- Ensure accurate communication of specifications, costing, timelines, and order requirements between Store, Production, and other teams.
- Work closely with Design, Production, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, E-commerce, and Operations teams.




- Track competitor assortments, pricing, launches, and market trends.
- Prepare regular merchandising, inventory, and MTO reports and share actionable insights with management.

Key Skills
- 5+ years of experience in jewellery merchandising.
- Strong understanding of jewellery, diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
- Excellent Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment, and rotation.
- Ability to manage large SKU inventories and multiple categories.
- Good understanding of jewellery costing and MTO processes.
- Solid coordination, communication, and ownership skills.
- Experience with fine jewellery / diamond / lab-grown diamond is preferred.

Role Focus The role is primarily focused on merchandising, inventory planning & rotation and product performance. Product conceptualisation and design development will be handled by the Design/Product team.
