About The Role The Associate Architect - Java at Quantiphi is a pivotal role designed for experienced professionals who possess a strong background in enterprise Java applications and modernization. This role involves engaging directly with clients to understand their technical requirements, providing consultation, and overseeing the design and implementation of robust software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java application development, modernization practices, and cloud integration, particularly with AWS. As an Associate Architect, you will lead technical discussions, mentor junior team members, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 7-12 years of relevant experience in enterprise software development, with a strong emphasis on Java technologies. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Proven expertise in Java application modernization, including upgrading legacy systems to newer Java LTS versions (Java 17, 21, 25), is highly desirable. Candidates should have extensive experience with J2EE,



Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, along with API development and integration skills (REST and SOAP). Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and automation tools like AWS CLI, SDKs, and AWS Transform Custom (ATX) is essential.

Strong knowledge of database management systems such as SQL and NoSQL, along with experience in Agile development methodologies, is required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills are critical to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

- Engage with clients for project briefing, consultation, installation, and review processes, ensuring clear communication and understanding of technical requirements.
- Support the design, development, enhancement, and modernization of enterprise Java applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Manage customer expectations by translating demands into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and system specifications.
- Supervise activities between internal teams and external vendors or clients, facilitating smooth workflow and timely delivery of projects.
- Evaluate project data for accuracy, set project targets, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance service delivery and maintain competitive advantage.
- Review customer technical demands, offering guidance on optimal methods for system maintenance, integration,



and deployment.
- Research and implement recent technologies and tools that can improve project outcomes, including automation and modernization solutions.
- Ensure APIs are robust, maintainable, and adhere to best coding and architectural practices, coordinating efforts across different infrastructure layers.
- Develop, deploy, and debug cloud-based applications on AWS, utilizing AWS services and SDKs effectively.
- Identify system bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions to improve performance and reliability.
- Participate actively in team meetings, contribute to troubleshooting efforts, and support continuous process improvements.
