Role & responsibilities urpose of the Role:The IT Support Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the organizations IT infrastructure, encompassing servers, desktops, applications, and network systems. The position ensures business continuity through proactive system administration, issue resolution, and secure operations. The role demands hands-on technical expertise, ownership of operational activities, and effective coordination with users, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Role Objective:To ensure uninterrupted IT operations by managing, maintaining, and supporting infrastructure components, including physical and virtual servers, endpoint systems, network security, and business-critical applications. The incumbent will contribute to achieving organizational IT objectives by upholding performance, reliability, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System and Hardware Support

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
- Manage and maintain server and desktop hardware infrastructure across the organization.
- Perform preventive maintenance, patching, and upgrades on IT assets.

2. Virtualization and Server Management

- Install, configure, and administer VMware vSphere and vCenter environments.
- Manage virtual machine provisioning, migration, snapshots, and performance optimization.
- Ensure reliable backup, recovery, and high availability of virtualized systems.

3. Application and Platform Support

- Provide operational support for Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Manage Engine applications.
- Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Manage Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online accounts, configurations, and license assignments.
- Oversee web domain registration, DNS records, and SSL certificate renewals.




- Handle user creation, permission management, and access control for Jira, EPM, and GRA applications.

4. Network and Security Administration

- Configure and maintain SonicWall firewalls, VPN, and LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providersfor link provisioning and maintenance.
- Implement and maintain compliance with network security standards and firewall policies.

5. Coordination and Documentation

- Liaise with internal teams and external vendors for timely resolution of technical issues.
- Maintain detailed records of system configurations, incidents, and operational changes.
- Support IT audits by maintaining required logs, access controls, and configuration documentation.
- Adhere to ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management processes.

Skills and Competencies:

- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL), and macOS administration.
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere/ vCenter environments.
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Sound understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, routing, firewalling).
- Hands-on experience with SonicWall or similar enterprise-grade firewalls.
- Familiarity with Manage Engine tools such as Endpoint Central, Service Desk Plus, etc.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation abilities.
- Solid sense of ownership, accountability, and teamwork.

Educational Qualification:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator(RHCSA)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
