About the Role

Dwivedi Bharthuar & Co. is looking for a dynamic and experienced Internal Audit Professional to work with a leading and rapidly growing Genetics Research company in Uttar Pradesh.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting internal audits, evaluating internal controls, identifying operational and compliance risks, and recommending improvements to strengthen the organization's control environment and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct risk assessments across financial, operational, and business processes.
- Plan and execute internal audits covering financial, operational, process, and compliance areas.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and identify control weaknesses.
- Identify process gaps, operational risks, and areas of potential inefficiency.
- Recommend practical and effective corrective and preventive actions to improve processes.
- Prepare and maintain Risk and Control Matrices (RCM) for relevant business processes.
- Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in coordination with process owners.
- Review business processes for compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed Internal Audit Reports highlighting observations, risks, root causes, and recommendations.
- Present audit findings and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Follow up on audit observations and monitor the implementation of agreed corrective actions.
- Assist management in strengthening the organization's internal control and risk management framework.
- Maintain proper audit documentation, working papers, evidence, and audit trails.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand processes and identify opportunities for improvement.




- Support management in developing a culture of risk awareness, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CA, CIA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in Internal Audit is mandatory.
- Experience in preparing RCMs, SOPs, audit reports, and internal control documentation.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, internal controls, audit procedures, and process reviews.
- Candidates with experience in life sciences, healthcare, biotechnology, genetics research, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other regulated industries will be preferred.
