About the Role

Holofix Interiors is expanding its presence in Calicut through a new showroom in collaboration with HomeLane Interiors. We are looking for a talented, customer-focused Interior Designer / Design Consultant to be the face of our showroom and handle customers visiting the space.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of residential interiors, solid communication skills, and the ability to understand customer requirements and convert them into practical and aesthetically pleasing interior solutions.

This is a showroom-based role, where the candidate will be responsible for managing showroom activities, interacting with walk-in customers, understanding their requirements, preparing design concepts, coordinating with the internal team, and supporting the customer journey from the initial enquiry through to project execution.

Key Responsibilities1. Customer Handling & Consultation

- Welcome and professionally interact with customers visiting the showroom.
- Understand customers' lifestyle, requirements, preferences, budget, and project expectations.
- Explain available interior solutions, materials, finishes, products, and services.
- Conduct design consultations and provide suitable recommendations based on customer requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customers and maintain regular communication throughout the sales process.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and basic negotiations professionally.

1. Interior Design & Space Planning

- Develop interior design concepts based on customer requirements.
- Prepare basic space planning, layouts, mood boards, material selections, and design presentations.
- Have a good understanding of kitchens, wardrobes, living rooms, bedrooms, and other residential interior spaces.
- Recommend suitable materials, colours, finishes, hardware, and design solutions.
- Present design ideas clearly to customers and incorporate feedback into proposals.

1. Lead Management & Sales Support

- Attend to showroom walk-ins and incoming leads.
- Understand customer requirements and qualify leads based on project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Prepare and present design proposals and quotations in coordination with the relevant team.
- Follow up with prospective customers regularly.
- Assist in converting enquiries into confirmed projects.




- Maintain accurate records of customer discussions, requirements, follow-ups, and project status.
- Achieve individual/team targets related to customer conversion and sales.

1. Showroom Management

- Take ownership of the day-to-day functioning of the interior design showroom.
- Ensure the showroom is maintained professionally and is presentable at all times.
- Keep displays, samples, catalogues, material boards, and other design resources properly organised.
- Ensure customers receive a smooth and professional showroom experience.
- Coordinate with the management team regarding showroom requirements, materials, displays, and customer visits.

1. Project Coordination

- Coordinate with the design, sales, execution, and operations teams after project confirmation.
- Ensure customer requirements are communicated clearly to the relevant teams.
- Assist with site visits when required.
- Coordinate with clients regarding design discussions, revisions, measurements, material selections, and approvals.
- Follow up with the execution team to ensure customer expectations are properly communicated.

1. Customer Relationship Management

- Maintain professional communication with customers throughout the project journey.
- Follow up with existing and potential customers.
- Address customer concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when required.
- Build long-term customer relationships and encourage referrals.

RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in interior design will also be considered.

Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in interior design.
- Experience in residential interiors, modular kitchens, wardrobes, or turnkey interiors will be preferred.
- Experience in a showroom, design studio, or customer-facing interior design role will be an advantage.

Technical Skills The candidate should have working knowledge of:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp / 3D modelling software
- 3D rendering software
- Photoshop / Canva or similar presentation tools
- MS Office / Google Workspace
- Interior design presentation and estimation tools





Knowledge of additional design software will be an advantage. Key Skills We Are Looking For
