As an Integration Analyst (IBM API Connect) - Associate, you will engage in client support within our Business Application Consulting practice, focusing on Maximo Consulting. You will contribute to projects that modernize field service and operations, leveraging your skills to deliver impactful solutions. As an Associate, you will develop your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work, building meaningful client connections and learning how to manage and inspire others.

Responsibilities
Provide production support for APIs and integrations built on IBM API Connect (standalone or on CP4I).
- Monitor APIs, API Gateway traffic, message flows, and integration jobs for availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot API failures, connectivity issues, authentication/authorization errors, timeouts, and data-related issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot custom connectors/policies, API proxies, and gateway-level extensions in APIC.
- Implement and support OAuth 2.0, API keys, client ID/secret, JWT validation, and other security schemes for API access control.
- Manage certificates, SSL/TLS configurations, and mutual TLS setups for secure API communication.
- Analyze application, gateway, and middleware logs to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Coordinate with source/target systems, application teams, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders for issue resolution.
- Manage incidents and service requests within defined SLA timelines.
- Support deployments, API lifecycle management (create, publish, version, retire), production validation, and configuration changes.
- Maintain troubleshooting guides, RCA documents, and support documentation.
- Communicate incident status, impact, and resolution updates to technical and business stakeholders.
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 2+ years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
3-5 years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) v10, deployed either standalone or on Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) , including API creation, publishing, API Gateway, Developer Portal, and product/plan management.
- Strong understanding of APIC-specific concepts: custom connectors/extensions, gateway policies, rate limiting, API assembly flows.
- Good working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, API security, certificates, and SSL/TLS.
- Valuable understanding of REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, HTTP/HTTPS, and integration concepts.
- Hands-on experience in production/application support and API troubleshooting.
- Experience with monitoring, log analysis, incident management, and RCA.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or curl.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, databases, messaging, and integration protocols.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
What Sets You Apart
- Working knowledge of IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), Boomi, or MuleSoft.
- Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift / container platforms, since CP4I is deployed on OpenShift.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, ELK, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow/Jira and ITIL processes.
Preferred: Any of the Following Certifications
- IBM API Connect Certification
- MuleSoft Certified Developer- L1
