Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Instrumentation and Control Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control (I&C;) systems in manufacturing operations. This role manages a team of engineers and technicians to ensure reliable, safe, and effective process control, automation, and instrumentation aligned with production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the I&C; engineering team in designing, developing, and supporting control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA,HMI) and instrumentation for manufacturing processes.
- Manage installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of field instruments and control devices.
- Develop and enforce engineering standards, specifications, and documentation for instrumentation and control systems.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize process control and ensure system reliability.
- Oversee engineering projects related to I&C; system upgrades, expansions, and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, industrial codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new instrumentation and automation technologies.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to engineering staff.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and reports related to instrumentation and control engineering activities.

Ensure all I&C; systems comply with applicable safety standards (e.g., IEC, ISA) and regulatory requirements.Lead I&C; engineering aspects of capital projects, system upgrades, and process improvements within manufacturing.Evaluate, select, and manage vendors and new technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.Work closely with operations, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to align control strategies with production goals.Manage budgets related to instrumentation and control engineering activities, optimizing costs while maintaining quality.Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering within manufacturing or process industries.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, field instrumentation, and process control.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
