Independent Contractor Prospect: Sales Lead – Course Sales / EdTech

Location: Remote | Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (not an employment role) | Reports to: Founder/CEO

About RP Strativa

RP Strativa Technologies runs Career Launcher Programs — paid, structured training programs in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Cloud/DevOps, Data & AI, QA Testing, and ERP/SAP/Web. Students pay a course fee to enroll. The internship component is structured as a mandatory academic/credit internship, delivered in partnership with colleges — it is not a paid corporate internship, and no stipend is paid to students.

Positioning is built around helping colleges fulfill AICTE-mandated internship/credit requirements for their students.

This is NOT a management role. We're not looking for someone to sit back, build a deck, and direct a team. We're looking for someone who will personally pick up the phone, walk into colleges, use their own contacts, and close sales themselves — and only build a team once they've proven they can sell.

Compensation: 100% Commission-Based — No Fixed Salary

Independent contractor engagement, paid per course enrollment closed (and per college MOU activated, if structured that way).

- Commission: [10 % of amount per enrollment; separate incentive for MOUs signed, if applicable]
- Payout cycle: Monthly

What This Role Actually Is

- A hands-on selling role first — you are the primary salesperson, not a coordinator of others
- You bring your own TPO and college contacts. Direct, working relationships with Training & Placement Officers, placement cells, and college administration are mandatory
- You are responsible for signing college MOUs that formalize RP Strativa as an approved academic/credit internship partner for that institution — framed around AICTE's mandatory internship/credit requirement,

not as a corporate placement or paid internship
- You generate and close your own student leads — cold outreach, referrals, personal network, no company-funded ads or purchased leads
- You build a team only after proving your own numbers
- A hands-on selling role first. You are the primary salesperson — not a coordinator of other people's sales
- You bring your own contacts. Your existing relationships with colleges, TPOs, placement cells, and student networks are the engine — not something the company will provide or fund
- You generate your own leads. Cold outreach, referrals, personal network — no company-funded ads, no purchased leads, no marketing hand-offs
- You close your own deals. Counseling calls, objection handling, follow-ups, and conversion to paid enrollment — done by you, personally
- You build the team only after you've proven the model. Once your own numbers show what works, you may bring on and train others under you — but this is earned through your own sales performance, not a starting title
- You are not dependent on the company for leads, budget, or infrastructure to hit your numbers — you're expected to make it happen with what you already have

Must-Haves (non-negotiable)

- Minimum 10 years personally selling courses/programs , hands-on — not people-management experience
- Existing, active TPO and college administration contacts you can call on directly and get a meeting with

- Demonstrated ability to get college MOUs signed for academic/credit internship partnerships specifically — this is an academic-track sell, not a corporate placement sell, and candidates should understand the distinction
- Working knowledge of AICTE's mandatory internship/credit requirement and how to pitch a college on partnering for credit fulfillment
- Comfortable with 100% commission, independent contractor terms
- Minimum 10 years personally selling courses/programs (EdTech, upskilling, coaching institutes, certification sales) — hands-on selling experience, not people-management experience
- Your own active college/university contacts you can call on directly, without company introduction or budget
- Proven history of generating and closing your own leads — not managing a team that generates leads for you
- Willingness to do the legwork yourself: calls, campus visits, follow-ups — indefinitely, not just in a "founding phase"
- Comfortable with 100% commission, independent contractor terms

Mandatory 90-Day Deliverable

- At least 50 college MOUs signed within the first 90 days , positioned as academic/credit internship partnerships, using your own existing TPO/college contacts
- A running pipeline of paid enrollments sourced from those colleges and your personal network

Not a Fit If

- You don't already have direct TPO/college relationships you can activate immediately
- Your pitch experience is in corporate/paid internship placement rather than academic/credit internship partnerships — this role requires the latter
- You're looking for a role where you primarily manage a team rather than personally sign MOUs and close sales
- You expect the company to supply college introductions, leads, or budget
