Role Purpose

Green Earth International is looking for a creative and commercially aware Designer to develop seasonal tote bag collections for the international market. The role involves researching global trends, creating original designs and artwork, and working with internal teams to take products from concept through sampling and production.

The Designer will create fresh tote bag collections for each key selling season while ensuring that designs reflect market demand, customer preferences, sustainability values, quality standards, and production feasibility.

Key ResponsibilitiesTrend Research and Collection Planning

- Research international fashion, retail, lifestyle, colour, print, and consumer trends.
- Monitor competitor collections, retail stores, online marketplaces, social media, and trend forecasts.
- Translate seasonal trends into relevant, commercial tote bag collection concepts.
- Develop mood boards, inspiration boards, colour palettes, themes, and seasonal design directions.
- Present seasonal collection ideas to the Design Manager, merchandising team, and relevant stakeholders.

Design Development
- Create original tote bag designs, including shapes, silhouettes, prints, graphics, patterns, embroidery, slogans, placements, and colourways.
- Develop designs that are aesthetically strong, commercially viable, and suitable for the target international market.
- Prepare seasonal collection ranges with a balanced mix of trend-led, classic, novelty, and customer-focused designs.
- Ensure designs are consistent with Green Earth International’s brand direction and sustainability objectives.
- Adapt designs according to customer briefs, feedback, pricing requirements, and market needs.

Artwork and Technical Preparation
- Create high-quality artwork using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Prepare production-ready artwork, including print repeats, placement artwork, colour separations, dimensions, and file specifications.
- Develop detailed design specifications and tech packs for sampling and production.




- Ensure artwork files are organised, accurate, clearly labelled, and ready for handover to production or suppliers.
- Maintain an updated archive of design files, artwork, references, samples, and seasonal collections.

Sampling and Production Support
- Work closely with sourcing, merchandising, sampling, and production teams throughout product development.
- Review samples against approved artwork and specifications.
- Provide clear corrections and design feedback for sample revisions.
- Ensure colours, prints, materials, trims, and finishes match the intended design direction.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues that may affect cost, quality, functionality, or manufacturability.
- Support the team in meeting product-development timelines and seasonal launch deadlines.

Seasonal Collection Calendar The Designer will develop tote bag collections for the following seasonal and promotional launches:

- Spring Q1
- Farmers’ Market
- Spring Q2
- Summer
- US Independence Day
- Back to School
- Fall
- Halloween
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in designing tote bags, bags, accessories, textiles, lifestyle products, gift products, or retail merchandise.
- Strong working experience in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to create original graphics, prints, patterns, typography, and product artwork.
- Understanding of international seasonal trends and consumer preferences.
- Experience preparing artwork and design specifications for sampling or production is preferred.
- A solid portfolio demonstrating creative and commercially relevant product or collection design.

- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple seasonal projects at the same time.
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced product-development environment.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability, especially during sampling and production stages.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of sustainable materials, eco-friendly printing, and responsible product development.
- Familiarity with tote bag materials, construction methods, trims, printing techniques, embroidery, and finishing processes.
- Experience working with international customers or export markets, particularly the US and Europe.
- Knowledge of trend-forecasting platforms and retail-market research.
- Experience using additional design software, such as InDesign or Procreate.

Pay: ₹9,353.53 - ₹20,000.00 per month
