Role Description The Import Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating all import-related activities for raw materials and finished goods. This full time, on-site role is based in Ahmedabad and involves handling import documentation, ensuring regulatory and customs compliance, and tracking shipments to meet production timelines.

The Import

Specialist will liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain accurate records. The role includes monitoring international trade regulations,



optimizing import processes for cost and efficiency, and supporting the export/import team with reporting and data analysis.

Qualifications

- Robust understanding of Import and Import Export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and compliance.
- Knowledge of Export and International Trade regulations, trade terms (Incoterms), and logistics coordination.
- Customer Service skills to manage communication with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams.
- Proficiency with MS Office and ERP or trade management systems for data entry, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; additional regional or foreign language skills are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in import/export operations or logistics within manufacturing or related industries is required.
