Role Description The IGCSE Maths Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based at Laurel High Global School in Rajahmundry. The role involves planning and delivering IGCSE Mathematics lessons, designing schemes of work, and aligning instructional practices with Cambridge curriculum standards. The Coordinator will mentor and support Maths teachers, coordinate assessments, analyze student performance data, and implement improvement strategies.

Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, observing classes for quality assurance, organizing enrichment activities such as math clubs or competitions, and communicating regularly with school leadership and families about learner progress. The role also requires participation in staff meetings, professional development, and contribution to the school’s broader academic initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong subject expertise in Mathematics, particularly aligned with the IGCSE curriculum, and ability to teach across middle and high school grades.
- Experience in curriculum planning, unit and lesson design,



and assessment development for Cambridge or similar international programs.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills, student engagement strategies, and the ability to differentiate instruction for varied learning needs.
- Effective coordination and leadership abilities, including mentoring teachers, conducting academic reviews, and collaborating with academic heads.
- Clear and qualified communication skills for interaction with students, colleagues, and families, and comfort with English as the primary medium of instruction.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching, assessment, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; formal training or certification in IGCSE/Cambridge curriculum is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in an international or global school setting and a strong commitment to value-based, learner-centered education.
