Role Description The IGCSE Biology Tutor (Grades 9–10) – Remote is a full-time role focused on delivering live, one-on-one online tutoring sessions in Biology, with occasional support in related Mathematics concepts where needed. The tutor will plan and deliver structured lessons aligned with the IGCSE curriculum, explain complex topics clearly, and adapt teaching methods to individual student learning styles. Daily responsibilities include assessing student progress, providing feedback, assigning and reviewing practice work, and preparing students for tests and exams through targeted revision and exam strategies.





The tutor will collaborate with the UnboundYou team to use the platform’s study resources effectively, maintain accurate session records, and communicate regularly with students and, where appropriate, parents or guardians to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong subject-matter expertise in Biology and a solid understanding of the IGCSE Biology curriculum.
- Candidates should possess effective Online Tutoring and Tutoring skills, including experience delivering live, interactive sessions for Grades 9–10.
- Candidates should possess clear and empathetic Communication skills to explain concepts, give feedback, and build student confidence.
- Candidates should possess basic Mathematics skills relevant to IGCSE Biology (e.g., data analysis, graphs, easy calculations).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field; prior IGCSE teaching or tutoring experience is highly beneficial.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans, use digital tools effectively, and manage time across multiple students in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection, familiarity with online learning platforms, and a professional, student-centered approach to mentoring.
