Communication Skills:

English, Hindi , Gujarati & Marathi should be well versed in all the 3 languages.

Qualification:

· MBBS (Allopathic) / BAMS / BHMS with valid State Medical Council / MMC Registration.

· Certification in ACLS / BLS or PGDEMS

Experience:

- 2–5 years in hospital.
- Prior experience in ICU Department would be preferred.

Key Responsibilities: To provide continuous, high-quality medical care to critically ill patients in the ICU, ensuring close monitoring, timely interventions, and coordination with intensivists and consultants.

Clinical Care

- Monitor critically ill patients on ventilators, inotropes, and invasive monitoring.
- Perform and assist in ICU procedures (intubation assistance, central line care, arterial line care, ABG sampling).
- Interpret ABGs, ECGs, lab reports, and imaging promptly.
- Execute intensivist treatment plans and update them on patient progress.
- Manage medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, sepsis, shock, and respiratory failure.

Patient Monitoring & Safety

- Maintain hourly monitoring charts and critical care documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ICU safety bundles (VAP, CLABSI, CAUTI).
- Ensure infection control and antibiotic stewardship practices.

Emergency Management





- Perform rapid triage and initial assessment of emergency cases.
- Stabilize patients using ABC protocols.
- Manage trauma, cardiac emergencies, strokes, poisoning, and acute medical/surgical conditions.
- Initiate emergency medications and procedures as per protocol.
- Activate Code Blue / Trauma Code when required.

Coordination

- Coordinate with intensivists, consultants, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, radiology, laboratory, and OT teams.
- Communicate patient condition updates to families as guided by consultants.
- Arrange timely admissions, transfers, or referrals.

Documentation

- Maintain ICU notes, ventilator charts, procedure notes, and death summaries.
- Ensure ICU documentation complies with NABH and medico-legal standards.
- Maintain ER case sheets, MLC registers, and referral notes.
- Ensure accurate time stamping of events and interventions.

Medico-Legal Responsibilities

- Identify and manage Medico-Legal Cases (MLC).
- Ensure timely intimation to authorities as per hospital policy.
- Maintain proper MLC documentation and evidence preservation.
