About the RoleDRS International School, Shamshabad, Hyderabad, is looking for an experienced and dynamic PYP Coordinator to lead the implementation and development of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) in a new/founder school environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of IB PYP pedagogy, curriculum planning, teacher mentoring, and school-wide academic leadership, with the ability to build systems and a strong PYP culture from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the IB PYP curriculum.
- Ensure effective alignment of teaching and learning with IB standards and practices.
- Guide teachers in inquiry-based, concept-driven and student-centered learning.
- Support teachers with unit planning, transdisciplinary learning and assessment practices.
- Conduct professional development and mentoring for PYP teachers.
- Monitor curriculum implementation and academic standards across PYP grades.
- Coordinate PYP documentation, assessments, learner profiles and action plans.
- Promote international-mindedness, learner agency and holistic development.
- Collaborate with the Principal,



leadership team and teachers to establish strong academic systems.
- Support the school through IB authorization and evaluation processes.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and the wider school community.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education or a relevant subject; B.Ed preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong experience working with the IB PYP curriculum.
- Prior experience as a PYP Coordinator / IB Academic Coordinator / PYP leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based and concept-based learning.
- Experience in teacher training, mentoring and curriculum development.
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and build academic systems in a current school.
- Candidates with experience in IB authorization/accreditation processes will be preferred.

Preferred Experience5+ years of relevant IB/PYP experience, with demonstrated leadership in curriculum coordination or academic management. Why Join?
