Role: HR Head with 3-5 years' HR experience, to manage people operations across design studio (~20 people) and packaging manufacturing facility (~45 people). 100% role, on-site. Please note that this is a newly created role. You will be the first and only dedicated HR skilled across Z&B; and SCPL, building people processes from the ground up. There are no current plans to expand the HR function.

Key Responsibilities:

Short-term (1-2 years):

- Serve as the single point of accountability for all people operations across Zinc & Broccoli and sister company SCPL: hiring, exits, performance, engagement, and HR administration
- Own the KRA/KPI framework and performance review cycle: conduct structured periodic 1:1s and formal appraisals across both organisations, and ensure all reviews are documented
- Run end-to-end hiring processes: JD creation, job posting, screening, interview coordination, offer management, and onboarding for all roles across Z&B; and SCPL
- Facilitate exit processes: resignation handling, notice period management, offboarding checklists, and exit interviews
- Act as a buffer between management and day-to-day staff issues: handle employee concerns, interpersonal conflicts, and policy queries independently, reducing management overhead
- Establish and administer POSH compliance: set up an Internal Committee, ensure all employees across Z&B; and SCPL are trained and aware of the policy, and serve as the first point of contact for any complaints or concerns

Medium to long-term (2-3 years):

- Build and maintain active candidate pipelines for recurring roles, reducing time-to-hire
- Drive training and upskilling cadence across teams:



coordinate with management to identify gaps and organise learning programmes
- Develop deeper engagement initiatives, team building activities, and culture-building programmes suited to both a design studio and a production environment
- Potential to shape HR policy and organisational design as both companies grow

Basic terms of employment:

- Permanent, full-time, on-site role with Zinc & Broccoli at our Kanakapura Road office
- 6 months' probation (no paid leaves during probation)
- 2 months' notice period if employee wishes to terminate the contract

Skills and tools required:

- 3 to 5 years of HR experience,



with at least 1-2 years in a generalist or HR lead role
- Prior exposure to diverse work environments: professional services, creative studios, or structured production settings is an advantage
- Experience in owning performance management and KPI tracking
- Strong English communication skills, written and verbal; verbal proficiency in Kannada is a necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel is mandatory; experience with HRMS tools such as PagarBook or similar is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion and maturity
- Organised, process-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal hand-holding
