About the Role
As the Manager Human Resources, you will lead WitWise’s people function and be responsible for building a strong talent pipeline, developing employees, strengthening organisational culture, and establishing effective HR processes. You will act as a strategic partner to leadership while ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Own end-to-end recruitment across academic, counseling, admissions, sales, operations, and corporate functions.
- Build talent pipelines through LinkedIn, recruitment platforms, referrals, and education networks.
- Develop JDs, screening processes, interview frameworks, and hiring scorecards.
- Manage interviews, assessments, reference checks, offers, and negotiations.
- Track recruitment metrics and build a strong candidate database.
Employee Onboarding & Induction
- Own the end-to-end employee onboarding experience.
- Conduct HR orientation covering WitWise’s culture, values, policies, and expectations.
- Coordinate documentation, contracts, background verification, and payroll setup.
- Develop 30/60/90-day onboarding plans and conduct new-joiner check-ins.
- Ensure employees understand WitWise’s student-first philosophy and service standards.
Learning, Training & Development
- Identify training and development needs across teams.
- Develop and manage training calendars and role-specific onboarding programs.
- Coordinate training across communication, leadership, counseling, sales, parent management, and professional skills.
- Identify skill gaps and create employee development plans.
- Develop leadership and career-growth initiatives.
Performance Management
- Design and manage annual and quarterly performance management processes.
- Establish KPIs, KRAs, and performance expectations with functional heads.
- Support managers with feedback, performance concerns, and PIPs.
- Identify and develop high-performing employees.
- Establish recognition and rewards programs.
Employee Engagement, Culture & Retention
- Build a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
- Drive employee engagement, recognition, team-building, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Conduct pulse surveys, stay interviews, and exit interviews.
- Identify employee concerns and develop retention initiatives.
- Act as a trusted HR partner for employees and managers.
- Promote WitWise’s values across the organization.
HR Operations, Policies & Compliance
- Develop and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and employee documentation.
- Oversee attendance, leave, payroll coordination, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Manage contracts, confirmations, promotions, transfers, resignations, and full-and-final settlements.
- Establish processes for grievances, disciplinary matters,
workplace conduct, confidentiality, and employee welfare.
- Maintain accurate HR records and dashboards.
HR Strategy & Business Partnership
- Partner with founders and leadership on people strategy and workforce planning.
- Forecast hiring and talent requirements based on business growth.
- Advise leadership on organizational structure and people-related matters.
- Track key HR metrics including hiring, attrition, engagement, and performance.
- Support organizational change and restructuring initiatives.
- Develop succession planning, internal talent pipelines, career progression, and compensation frameworks.
Requirements Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in education, EdTech, consulting, or a high-growth organization.
- Strong experience in end-to-end recruitment, employee development, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Experience hiring and managing talent across both student-facing and corporate functions.
- Prior experience working with founders or senior leadership is preferred.
- Experience building HR processes and systems in a growing organization is a strong advantage.
