Company Description JoySpoon is an emerging food brand based in Ahmedabad, founded by two childhood friends from Rajasthan who were raised in the small town of Pali. Inspired by traditional family recipes, the founders set out to create high-quality mouth fresheners and mukhwas with great taste, free from sugar and artificial flavors.

The concept was tested as return gifts at their wedding, where the enthusiastic response from guests led to six months of research and the creation of JoySpoon. Today, JoySpoon is focused on building India’s first dedicated quality mouth freshener and mukhwas brand. Role Description The Human Resources Manager will oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement for JoySpoon’s on-site team in Ahmedabad. This full time role requires partnering closely with leadership to understand staffing needs, define roles, and support organizational growth.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating hiring activities, managing HR policies and compliance, maintaining employee records, and facilitating training and development initiatives.

Manager will also handle employee relations, support a positive workplace culture, and ensure HR processes are efficient, fair, and aligned with JoySpoon’s values. The role is on-site in Ahmedabad and involves regular interaction with staff across all functions.

Qualifications

- Experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and statutory compliance relevant to the Indian context.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in HR documentation, record-keeping, and use of HR software or HRIS tools.
- Ability to design and implement employee engagement, training, and development programs.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a growing consumer brand, FMCG, or startup environment is beneficial.
