About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to support our growing India organization. Reporting to the VP, Head of HR, this role will oversee HR and administrative operations in India, partnering closely with local leaders and employees while ensuring alignment with Haptiq's global People strategy and policies.
The ideal candidate is a strong HR generalist and business partner who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with India leaders and managers on employee relations, performance management, organizational changes, and other people-related matters.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits, employee lifecycle processes, and HR systems.
- Ensure compliance with Indian employment laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Manage and develop the HR and Administration teams, fostering a high-performing and service-oriented environment.
- Oversee workplace and administrative operations, including relevant vendors and service providers.
- Lead Talent Acquisition and partner with business leaders on hiring, workforce planning, onboarding, and talent initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement, internal communications, and initiatives that enhance the employee experience and retention.
- Support performance management, career development, and other global People programs across India.
- Provide guidance and support on employee concerns and grievances, handling sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.
- Monitor key HR metrics and provide insights to HR and business leaders to support informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 6–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a technology, professional services, or global organization.
- Strong knowledge of Indian employment laws, HR operations, payroll, and compliance.
- Experience managing HR teams and partnering effectively with business leaders.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on execution with effective business partnership in a quick-paced environment.
