The role will own recruitment across our growing organization while establishing the HR systems, processes, and practices that support employees throughout their lifecycle, from hiring and onboarding to performance, development, and retention.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate independently, build structure where it doesn't yet exist, and use HR data and technology to help leadership make better workforce decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Continuously identify opportunities to simplify, standardize,

and improve HR processes
- Assist in evaluating and implementing HRIS, ATS, attendance, payroll, and other HR technology as needed

Workforce Planning & People Analytics
- Maintain the organizational structure and headcount plan across departments
- Work with department heads to identify current and future workforce requirements
- Track headcount, hiring pipeline, attrition, attendance, leave, and other key workforce metrics
- Build regular HR reports and dashboards to give leadership visibility into workforce trends and people-related costs
- Use workforce data to identify gaps, bottlenecks, retention risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Support management in making data-informed decisions around hiring, team structure, and workforce capacity

Employee Relations, Payroll & Compliance
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and people-related matters
- Handle employee relations issues fairly, consistently, and confidentially
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs including attendance, leave, incentives, deductions, and employee changes, working closely with Finance to process payroll
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable employment and labour laws, and flag compliance considerations to leadership and Finance as needed
- Develop and maintain HR policies covering areas such as attendance, leave, conduct, grievance handling, and employee separation

Performance, Development & Engagement
- Design and implement a structured performance management framework covering goal setting, probation reviews, regular feedback, performance reviews, and improvement plans
- Work with department heads to establish clear roles, responsibilities, KPIs, and performance expectations

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources,

Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in HR, recruitment, talent acquisition, or people operations, with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end HR processes
- Experience working in a growing small or mid-size organization is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to independently manage recruitment and core HR operations with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes and HR policies, with working knowledge of applicable employment and labour laws

- Comfortable working with HRIS, ATS, attendance, payroll, and other HR technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Malayalam
- Based in or willing to relocate to Calicut, Kerala

- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent
- Experience working in a startup or rapidly growing organization
- Experience helping a company professionalize and scale its people processes

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

- Hands-on: Willing to execute personally while the team is growing
- A builder: Can create practical processes and systems from scratch
- Business-minded: Understands how people decisions affect growth, productivity, and organizational performance
- Data-oriented: Comfortable using data to identify problems and support decisions
