Core Responsibilities
1. Onboarding and Initial Training
- Conduct Orientations: Introduce new hires to the property, departmental policies, and overall brand standards.
- Demonstrate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Teach practical skills like bed-making, bathroom sanitation, dusting techniques, and room setup.
- Equipment & Chemical Training: Instruct staff on the safe and effective use of cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor buffers) and proper dilution and application of cleaning agents.

Quality
Assurance and Continuous Learning
- Room Inspections: Shadow room attendants and perform audits on cleaned areas to ensure training translates into actual performance.
- Identify Skill Gaps: Analyse guest feedback, inspection scores, and supervisor reports to figure out where the team needs refresher training.
- On-the-Job Coaching: Provide immediate, constructive feedback to staff while they are working on the floor to correct improper techniques.
3. Curriculum and Material Development
- Create Training Materials: Develop and update training manuals, quick-reference checklists, and visual aids (like step-by-step videos or posters).
- Adapt to Recent Protocols: Update training programs whenever new cleaning technology, software, or health guidelines (such as updated pandemic or sanitation protocols) are introduced.
4. Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Safety Protocols: Train staff on workplace safety, including proper lifting techniques (ergonomics) to prevent injuries,
and emergency response procedures.
- Chemical Handling: Ensure all staff understand OSHA standards (or local equivalents) for handling hazardous materials, including reading Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Key Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional Communication: The ability to explain complex or technical procedures simply and clearly, often to a diverse workforce with varying levels of language proficiency.
- Keen Attention to Detail: An "eagle eye" for spotting lint, smudges, and misaligned room amenities.
- Patience and Empathy: Understanding that adults learn at different paces and using positive reinforcement to build staff confidence.
- Deep Technical Knowledge: Mastery of various fabrics, surface materials (marble, wood, glass), and the specific chemical agents required to clean them without causing damage.
Typical Qualifications
- Experience: Usually requires 3 to 5 years of experience in housekeeping operations, often with prior time spent as a Housekeeping Supervisor, Inspector, or Assistant Manager.
- Education: A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Facility Management, or a related field is preferred but often not strictly required if the candidate has extensive operational experience.
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
