Position: Housekeeping Supervisor

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager / Operations Manager

Location: VGP Heritage Resort

Job Summary

Responsible for supervising the housekeeping team and ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and discipline across guest rooms, public areas, staff areas, and other assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and allocate daily duties to housekeeping staff.
- Ensure guest rooms, washrooms, corridors, restaurants, banquet areas, lawns, and public areas are cleaned and maintained properly.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure all areas meet VGP Heritage standards.
- Check rooms before guest arrival and ensure amenities, linen, towels, and other requirements are properly arranged.
- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, punctuality, discipline, and performance.
- Conduct daily briefings and provide explicit instructions to the housekeeping team.
- Train and guide staff on cleaning procedures, hygiene, safety, and proper use of chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain proper control of linen, cleaning materials, guest amenities, and housekeeping equipment.
- Monitor consumption and report shortages, damages, or unnecessary wastage to management.
- Coordinate with Maintenance regarding electrical, plumbing, AC, plumbing, and other defects.
- Coordinate with Front Office, F&B;, Banquets, Security, and other departments for operational requirements.




- Handle housekeeping-related guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure Lost & Found procedures are strictly followed.
- Ensure staff quarters and back-of-house housekeeping areas are maintained clean and orderly.
- Ensure all housekeeping staff follow company rules, SOPs, safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Prepare daily housekeeping reports and report major issues to management.
- Take immediate corrective action for negligence or poor performance and report serious misconduct to HR/management.
- Ensure all assigned duties are completed before the end of the shift.

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in hotel/resort housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory position.
- Knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, chemicals, linen, and equipment.
- Good leadership and team-management skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Basic computer knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.

Performance Expectations The Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to maintain excellent cleanliness standards, effective staff discipline, timely completion of duties, proper inventory control, guest satisfaction, and smooth coordination with all departments.
