Experience: 38 years

Qualification: B.Sc. / Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Floriculture, or a related field.

Job Purpose To manage and maintain landscaping, plantations, gardens, green areas, and horticultural activities across project sites, ensuring healthy plant growth, aesthetic appeal, and proper maintenance of landscape areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, execute, and supervise horticulture and landscape maintenance activities.
- Manage lawns, plants, trees, shrubs, flower beds, vertical gardens, and other green areas.
- Develop seasonal plantation and gardening plans based on site requirements.
- Ensure timely watering, pruning, trimming, mowing, weeding, mulching, and fertilization.
- Identify plant diseases, pest infestations, and nutrient deficiencies and take appropriate corrective action.
- Monitor irrigation systems and ensure efficient utilization of water.
- Coordinate with landscape contractors, gardeners, and site teams for daily maintenance.
- Supervise manpower and allocate daily horticulture activities.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of gardening tools, equipment,



fertilizers, and pesticides.
- Maintain records of plantation, plant replacement, fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation, and manpower.
- Coordinate with vendors and nurseries for procurement of plants, saplings, soil, manure, fertilizers, and other materials.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify areas requiring improvement or maintenance.
- Ensure horticulture activities are carried out as per approved landscape designs and project standards.
- Support landscape development during new project execution and handover.
- Implement sustainable practices such as composting, water conservation, and use of native/low-maintenance plants.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures while handling equipment, fertilizers, and pesticides.

Desired Skills

- Strong knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, lawns, and seasonal flowers.
- Knowledge of irrigation and landscape maintenance techniques.
- Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, manure, and pest/disease management.
- Good manpower and contractor management skills.
- Positive observation and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and maintenance reporting.
- Ability to work at project/site locations and manage outdoor activities.
