Role Description The High School Counselor at HubbleHut will work on-site in Bengaluru, providing full-time guidance and support to high school students in partner schools. This role includes conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions to address academic, career, and personal development needs, while helping learners set realistic educational and career goals. The counselor will collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and families to monitor student progress, identify areas of concern, and coordinate appropriate interventions.





Daily responsibilities include academic advising, facilitating career exploration workshops, organizing information sessions about higher education and vocational pathways, and maintaining accurate documentation of counseling interactions. The counselor will also leverage HubbleHut’s tools and frameworks to align student aspirations with evolving career trends and skills requirements.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in student counseling and supporting high school students with academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Experience in career counseling, including helping learners explore career options and plan pathways beyond high school.
- Background in academic advising and education, with the ability to guide students on subject choices, exams, and higher education opportunities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Solid communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse student populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families, and manage a structured caseload in a school environment.
- Familiarity with standardized tests, college admissions processes, and contemporary career trends is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in school counseling or youth mentoring, preferably in a high school setting, is an advantage.
