About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on HR Leader to lead the Human Resources function for a large and rapidly scaling India organization/GCC.

The role will partner closely with the CEO, business leadership and global HR stakeholders to build a high-performance organization, drive workforce transformation, strengthen leadership capability, and establish scalable people processes and governance.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience across manufacturing/engineering environments, GCCs, large-scale workforce transformation, organizational development, employee relations, industrial relations, talent management and HR operations .

This is a senior leadership role requiring the ability to operate both strategically and operationally in a complex, fast-growing and global organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR Leadership

- Develop and execute the India HR strategy aligned with business and global organizational objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, C-suite and business leadership on people, organization and workforce matters.
- Translate business strategy into workforce, organization design, talent and capability strategies.
- Lead the HR function as a strategic business partner rather than only as a support function.
- Provide data-driven insights on workforce productivity, talent risks, succession and organizational effectiveness.

1. GCC / Organization Scale-Up

- Lead HR strategy for a large and evolving India GCC/global business organization.
- Build scalable HR infrastructure, processes, governance and operating rhythms to support rapid workforce growth.
- Drive workforce planning, organization design and talent acquisition strategies for critical and specialized capabilities.
- Build and develop a high-performing HR leadership and specialist team.
- Establish HR operating models that can support a global organization across multiple functions and geographies.

1. Talent Management & Leadership Development

- Develop leadership pipelines and succession plans for critical roles.
- Establish frameworks for talent assessment, career development and internal mobility.
- Identify future capability requirements and develop long-term talent strategies.
- Drive leadership development, high-potential programs and capability-building initiatives.
- Partner with business leaders to strengthen performance culture, accountability and employee engagement.

1. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

- Lead employee relations and industrial relations strategy across the organization.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace issues.
- Partner with plant/business leadership on workforce relations and labor-related matters.
- Develop effective employee communication and engagement mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labor and employment regulations.
- Build constructive relationships with employee representatives and other stakeholders.

1. Organization Transformation & Change Management





- Lead organization-wide transformation and change management initiatives.
- Drive cultural transformation aligned with business growth and organizational strategy.
- Support leadership teams during restructuring, expansion, integration and transformation programs.
- Improve organizational effectiveness, productivity and employee experience.
- Develop change communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.

1. HR Technology & Digital Transformation

- Drive adoption of technology-enabled HR processes and digital HR solutions.
- Lead HRMS/HCM implementation and transformation programs.
- Use workforce analytics and HR data to support business decision-making.
- Automate and simplify HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Establish dashboards and reporting mechanisms for leadership and board-level decision-making.

1. Compensation, Benefits & Rewards

- Partner with global and local rewards teams to design competitive compensation and benefits frameworks.
- Develop rewards and recognition programs aligned with performance and business growth.
- Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness of compensation structures.
- Lead annual compensation planning and workforce cost management.

1. M&A; and Integration

- Lead the HR workstream for mergers, acquisitions and organizational integrations.
- Participate in HR due diligence, workforce assessment and integration planning.
- Develop integration strategies covering organization structure, culture, talent, compensation and employee communication.
- Ensure smooth post-merger integration and organizational alignment.

1. Employer Branding & Employee Experience

- Strengthen the organization's employer brand in the Indian talent market.
- Develop employee engagement and experience initiatives.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Corporate Communications to build a differentiated employer proposition.
- Represent the organization externally in relevant talent and industry forums.

1. Governance, Compliance & Risk

- Ensure HR operations comply with Indian employment laws and statutory requirements.
- Establish strong HR governance, policies and operating procedures.
- Manage HR audits and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate people-related organizational risks.
- Maintain strong governance across employee lifecycle processes.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

- 18–25 years of overall HR experience , with significant experience in senior HR leadership roles.
- Experience leading HR for large organizations, GCCs, manufacturing, engineering or industrial businesses .
- Strong experience partnering with CEO/C-suite and senior business leadership .
- Demonstrated experience in scaling organizations and building HR functions.
- Strong experience in Talent Management, Workforce Planning, Organization Development and Change Management .
- Hands-on experience in Employee Relations / Industrial Relations .
- Experience managing large and geographically distributed workforces.
- Strong understanding of Indian employment and labor regulations.
- Experience with HR digital transformation / HRMS / HCM implementations.
- Experience in M&A;, integration or major organizational transformation would be highly desirable.

Education
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent preferred.
- Additional qualifications in leadership, organizational development or HR transformation would be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate would be a senior HR leader who has built or transformed HR functions in a large manufacturing, engineering or global organization , with the ability to combine strategic people leadership with strong operational execution. Experience in building a GCC from the ground up, rapidly scaling workforce, establishing HR governance, managing ER/IR, leading HR technology transformation and partnering with global leadership will be strongly preferred.
