Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Head – Microbiology Production to lead and manage microbiology production operations at our Bengaluru facility. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing production activities, ensuring process efficiency, maintaining quality standards, managing the production team, and coordinating with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, R&D;, and other cross-functional departments.

The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in microbiology production processes, team leadership, documentation, and manufacturing operations within a controlled production environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage day-to-day microbiology production operations.
- Plan production schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing targets.
- Supervise microbiology production staff and allocate daily responsibilities.
- Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, batch manufacturing procedures, and company policies.
- Monitor production processes and maintain consistency in product quality and output.
- Coordinate with QA and QC teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Review batch records, production documentation, and process reports.
- Investigate production deviations and support implementation of corrective actions.
- Optimize production efficiency while minimizing wastage and operational losses.
- Ensure proper utilization of equipment, materials, and manpower.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment.
- Maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness, and controlled production practices.
- Train and develop production team members on SOPs and operational procedures.




- Monitor inventory of production materials and coordinate with stores/procurement.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.
- Support process improvement initiatives and continuous operational excellence.
- Coordinate with R&D; for technology transfer and scale-up activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental standards.

Qualification
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Additional certification in production or quality management will be an advantage.

Experience
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in microbiology production, biotechnology manufacturing, fermentation, biological products, or related industries.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or team-leading role will be preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
