ABOUT THE ROLE

Della is looking for a highly experienced and visionary Head Embedded Home & Interior Automation & Lighting Engineering to lead the development and integration of advanced home automation, interior technology, intelligent lighting and embedded systems across Della's luxury residences, villas, hospitality spaces, townships and experiential developments.

This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role reporting directly to CMD Jimmy Mistry.

The individual will be responsible for bringing together luxury interiors, lighting, automation, technology and user experience to create seamless environments where technology is embedded into the design rather than appearing as an add-on.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working with luxury homes, premium hospitality, luxury real estate, high-end interior environments and internationally recognised automation / lighting brands.

The person should be a technology enthusiast, problem solver, innovator and strong project leader capable of converting the CMD's vision into extraordinary, functional and technologically advanced spaces.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. HOME AUTOMATION & SMART LIVING

Lead the complete automation strategy for Della's luxury residences and developments, including:
- Home automation and intelligent building systems.
- Lighting, HVAC, curtains/blinds and motorised systems.
- Audio-visual and entertainment integration.
- Smart access, security and surveillance interfaces.
- Energy management and smart controls.
- Voice, app and centralised control systems.
- Scene-based automation and personalised user experiences.
- Integration of multiple technology platforms into a single seamless experience.

1. INTELLIGENT LIGHTING ENGINEERING

Develop and implement sophisticated lighting solutions across:
- Luxury residences and villas.
- Hospitality spaces.
- Restaurants and entertainment areas.
- Landscapes and outdoor environments.
- Show homes and experiential centres.
- Common areas and premium public spaces.

Ensure lighting delivers both aesthetic impact and functional performance. Develop lighting scenes for different experiences such as:

1. EMBEDDED TECHNOLOGY IN INTERIORS

Work closely with Architecture and Interior Design teams to ensure technology is seamlessly integrated into the built environment.

- Integrated charging solutions.
- Smart mirrors.
- Automated wardrobes and furniture.
- Intelligent bathroom systems.

Work directly with CMD Jimmy Mistry on special technology-led projects and innovations. Convert conceptual ideas and customer experience requirements into practical technology solutions, prototypes and working environments.

Be prepared to rapidly evaluate new technologies, brands, products and concepts based on CMD requirements.

1. VENDOR & CONSULTANT MANAGEMENT

- Identify and evaluate technology and lighting partners.
- Conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
- Negotiate with vendors and technology partners.
- Establish performance standards and SLAs.
- Monitor installation and commissioning.
- Ensure vendors meet quality and project timelines.

1. QUALITY & PERFORMANCE

Establish testing and quality protocols covering:

- A senior technology / automation / lighting professional with strong leadership experience.
- Highly experienced in luxury residential, hospitality, premium real estate or high-end interiors.
- Strongly exposed to international luxury automation and lighting brands.

EDUCATION

Preferred Qualifications:

- B.E. / B.Tech Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation
- B.E. / B.Tech relevant engineering discipline
- Diploma / Degree in Lighting Design or Building Automation
- Additional certifications in KNX, Crestron, Lutron, Control4, DALI, BMS or related technologies will be an advantage.
