Role Description This full-time HCC Medical Coder role is on-site and based in Hyderabad. The HCC Medical Coder will review medical records and documentation to identify, assign, and validate appropriate HCC diagnosis codes in accordance with official coding guidelines and payer requirements.

Daily responsibilities include analyzing clinical documentation, applying medical terminology and coding standards, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of coded data for risk adjustment and reimbursement. The role involves working closely with clinical and billing teams to clarify documentation,



resolve coding discrepancies, and support audit readiness and compliance. The coder will also participate in ongoing education, quality improvement initiatives, and adherence to organizational policies and performance metrics.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated Medical Coding and Coding Experience with a strong focus on HCC and risk adjustment.
- Knowledge of Health Information Management principles, including data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Solid understanding of Medical Terminology and clinical documentation used across diverse care settings.
- Relevant credential such as RHIT or equivalent coding/health information certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD coding guidelines, payer rules, and audit processes.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work with productivity and quality targets.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field is beneficial.
