As a System Administrator, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients — which means some of the biggest in the world. There's never a typical day as a System Administrator, because no two projects are alike.
You'll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You'll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop mainframe hardware growth strategies.
- Plan processor upgrades and refresh cycles.
- Forecast CPU and memory requirements.
- Support hardware procurement and financial planning.
- Coordinate large-scale infrastructure changes.
- Support customer growth and modernization initiatives.
- Align infrastructure roadmap with business demand.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Strong knowledge of IBM Z architecture, CPC configuration, and enterprise mainframe infrastructure.
- Experience in capacity forecasting, performance modeling, processor sizing, and resource optimization.
- Expertise in hardware lifecycle management, upgrade planning, and infrastructure capacity management.
- Experience with financial planning, ROI analysis, and technology investment planning.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESX, and public/private cloud environments.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience with IBM zPCR, zBNA, RMF, SMF, and mainframe performance analysis tools.
- Knowledge of LPAR configuration, Parallel Sysplex, workload optimization, and capacity planning.
- Experience supporting IBM Z hardware refreshes, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with financial modeling, infrastructure budgeting, cost optimization, and vendor management.
- Understanding of ITIL Change Management and infrastructure governance processes.
- Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), vulnerability management, Active Directory, and ADFS.
- Robust analytical, stakeholder management, presentation, and decision-support skills in enterprise environments.
