Role Description The Hardware Design Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Chennai, India, with flexibility for some work-from-home. This role involves designing, developing, and validating electronic hardware, including circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout coordination, and hardware architecture definition for a range of OEM products. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into hardware specifications, perform simulations, analyze test data, and refine designs for reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities include creating technical documentation,



supporting prototyping and production builds, and working closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure smooth transition from design to mass production. The role also requires ongoing troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of existing hardware platforms.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Hardware Development and Hardware Design, with experience taking concepts through prototyping to production-ready hardware.
- Proficiency in Electronics Hardware Design and Circuit Design, including schematic creation, component selection, and signal integrity considerations.
- Experience in Hardware Architecture, defining system-level hardware layouts, interfaces, and integration with embedded software.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, OrCAD) and hardware simulation tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards, EMC/EMI considerations, safety compliance, and hardware testing methodologies.
- Ability to interpret datasheets, design for manufacturability, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners.
- Solid analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment and manage multiple projects.
