Educational Qualification : Should hold a Diploma in GNM nursing from any recognized institute or organization.

Required experience : Should have a minimum of 3 years of working experience as a GNM Nurse in a Gynae/Maternity & General ward at any reputed multispecialty hospital.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Patient Assessment : Assess patients and monitor vital signs, pain, bleeding, and general condition.

Pre-operative Care : Prepare patients for gynaecological surgeries, investigations, and procedures.

Post-operative Care : Monitor recovery, wound/dressing, drains, catheter, pain, and possible complications.

Medication Administration : Administer prescribed medicines, injections, IV fluids, and treatments safely.

Procedure Assistance : Assist doctors during gynaecological examinations and procedures while maintaining aseptic technique.

Infection Control : Follow hand hygiene, aseptic practices, PPE use, and biomedical waste management.





Documentation : Maintain nursing notes, medication charts, vital signs, intake/output, and shift handover records.

Patient Education : Educate patients regarding hygiene, medication, wound care, nutrition, and follow-up.

Emergency Care : Identify complications such as excessive bleeding, shock, fever, or severe pain and provide immediate nursing care.

Patient Support : Maintain patient dignity, privacy, comfort, confidentiality, and provide emotional support.
