Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Global Procurement Manager with 12–16 years of experience in strategic and operational procurement, preferably within cable assembly, connectors, wire harness, electrical/electromechanical components, or related manufacturing industries .

The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing a large global supplier base of 300+ vendors , with hands-on expertise in SAP MM, global sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, and buying of cable assembly-related components .

Key Responsibilities

- Lead global procurement activities for cable assembly and related electrical/electromechanical components .
- Manage and develop a supplier base of 300+ vendors , including global and regional suppliers.
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies aligned with business, quality, cost, delivery, and technology requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop new suppliers globally.
- Manage RFQ/RFP processes, supplier benchmarking, commercial evaluations, and negotiations.
- Drive competitive pricing, cost reduction, VA/VE, and year-on-year procurement savings.
- Handle procurement/buying of cables, wires, connectors, terminals, contacts, cable glands, sleeves, shielding materials, and other cable assembly components .
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQ, contracts, and other commercial conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and responsiveness .
- Develop long-term supplier relationships while maintaining competitive sourcing.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance,



and Product Management teams.
- Support new product development through supplier selection, costing, sourcing, and prototype procurement.
- Analyze market trends, commodity prices, supplier capacity, and supply risks to support procurement decisions.
- Develop and implement supplier risk mitigation and alternate-source strategies.
- Monitor procurement spend and identify opportunities for consolidation and localization.
- Ensure purchase orders and procurement activities are executed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Use SAP MM for procurement activities, supplier/material data, purchasing transactions, reporting, and spend analysis.
- Prepare procurement reports, supplier performance reviews, cost analysis, and management dashboards.
- Support global procurement initiatives and coordinate with international stakeholders and HARTING group entities.

Required Skills & Experience
- 12–16 years of experience in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Global Purchasing.
- Proven experience managing 300+ suppliers/vendors .
- Strong experience in global procurement and supplier management .
- Hands-on experience in buying/procurement for cable assemblies or related components .
- Experience in connectors, wires, cables, terminals, electrical components, wire harnesses,



or electromechanical products is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM and procurement processes.
- Experience in RFQ, supplier evaluation, price negotiation, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Experience in supplier development, supplier performance management, and risk management.
- Strong analytical and commercial negotiation skills.
- Experience in cost reduction, VA/VE, should-cost analysis, and commodity management.
- Solid stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with global suppliers and international stakeholders.

Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
