Job Summary The Jr. Purchasing Executive supports the purchasing function by ensuring timely order confirmations, proactive supplier follow-ups, accurate ERP updates, and effective coordination between buyers, suppliers, and internal teams. This role contributes to maintaining service levels, avoiding delivery delays, and supporting smooth procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support buyers in confirming purchase orders with suppliers.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure parts are delivered to the warehouse on time to meet service degree targets.
- Send regular reminders to suppliers and track order progress.
- Update and maintain correct delivery dates and order details in the ERP system.
- Ensure timely receipt of order confirmations from suppliers for newly placed orders.
- Build, maintain, and manage positive supplier relationships through effective communication.
- Highlight any risks or scenarios that could lead to delays in delivery of goods.
- Escalate cases require immediate buyer attention.
- Support the purchasing team in daily operational activities to ensure smooth functioning.
- Track, prepare, and report procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key
Result Areas (KRAs).
Skills & Competencies
- Valuable communication skills in German (B2 level) to manage internal and external stakeholder contacts.
- Strong follow-up and coordination abilities
- Basic understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
- Attention to detail and accuracy in ERP data management
- Ability to identify issues early and escalate appropriately
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
- 0–1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations is a plus.
- Exposure to ERP systems is an advantage
- Working knowledge of MS Excel
