Role Description The Generator Service Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi. This role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance on diesel generators, including inspection, testing, servicing, and calibration of components to ensure reliable operation.

The engineer will diagnose faults using diagnostic tools, carry out repairs and overhauls on engines, alternators, control panels, and associated electrical systems, and support emergency breakdown calls at client sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing service reports, maintaining accurate records of work performed,



coordinating with the service team and office staff for scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. The role also includes providing technical guidance to clients, recommending improvements or upgrades, and supporting installation and commissioning of current generator systems as required.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in diesel engines, alternators, and generator control panels, including troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Candidates should possess skills in electrical systems maintenance, wiring, safety procedures, and use of diagnostic and testing equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in preventive maintenance planning, service documentation, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly and coordinate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification) is preferred.
- Prior experience in generator servicing, industrial maintenance, or related field is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site at client locations, travel within Kerala as needed, and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
- Basic computer skills for service reporting and familiarity with manufacturer manuals and technical documentation are beneficial.
