Role Description The General Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care, including pre-operative evaluation, operative management, and post-operative follow-up for a broad range of conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, reviewing diagnostic tests, planning and performing surgeries, coordinating with anesthesiology and other specialties, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.

The role involves supervising and mentoring junior medical staff,



maintaining accurate medical records, participating in case discussions, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.

The General

Surgeon will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care, particularly for complex cases requiring input from other specialties. This is a full-time, on-site role based at SREE SARAN MEDICAL CENTER in Tiruppur.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Medicine, with the ability to manage pre- and post-operative patient care and coordinate with other medical specialties.
- Proficiency in Surgery, including core general surgical procedures, emergency surgeries, and management of surgical complications.
- Experience or familiarity with Orthopedic Surgery, particularly in managing trauma and musculoskeletal conditions requiring surgical intervention.
- Exposure to Plastic Surgery and Ophthalmology as relevant to comprehensive patient care and multidisciplinary case management.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in General Surgery (MS or equivalent), with valid registration from the appropriate medical council.
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-volume clinical settings, with strong clinical judgment, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach and commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory care.
