Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Contract Administration to lead contract administration, tendering, procurement, commercial management, and vendor coordination across large-scale real estate and construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in construction contracts, BOQ evaluation, tender management, procurement, contractor/vendor negotiations, work orders, purchase orders, and commercial risk management . The role will work closely with engineering, project execution, finance, procurement, and senior management teams to ensure cost-effective and timely project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesContract Administration & Commercial Management
- Lead end-to-end contract administration for residential, commercial, industrial, and hospitality projects.
- Review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, work orders, purchase orders, subcontractor agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Manage contractor finalization and commercial evaluation.
- Ensure contractual compliance with project requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Identify and mitigate contractual, commercial, and financial risks.
- Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and records.
Tendering & BOQ Management
- Review and evaluate BOQs, tender documents, technical specifications, and commercial proposals.
- Manage the complete tendering process, including bid analysis and comparative statements.
- Evaluate contractors and suppliers based on technical and commercial parameters.
- Conduct commercial negotiations to achieve cost optimization.
- Verify quantities, rates, estimates, and project costs.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Oversee procurement activities and ensure timely availability of materials as per project requirements.
- Develop and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Monitor procurement schedules in line with project execution timelines.
- Evaluate vendor performance and maintain an approved vendor database.
- Review and approve Work Orders (WO) and Purchase Orders (PO) as per company processes.
Commercial & Financial Coordination
- Monitor project budgets, cost commitments, and commercial performance.
- Coordinate with finance, engineering, procurement, and project teams for timely commercial decisions.
- Support cost-control and value-engineering initiatives.
- Review and facilitate processing of contractor bills, certifications, and other commercial documentation.
- Provide regular commercial reports and updates to senior management.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure proper maintenance of contracts, amendments, purchase documents, tender records, and commercial reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready commercial documentation.
Candidate ProfileMandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying , or a related discipline.
- 12–15 years of relevant experience in construction, real estate, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Strong experience in contract administration and commercial management .
- Proven experience handling high-rise residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and verification, tendering, procurement, and commercial evaluation .
- Experience in contractor/vendor negotiations and finalization.
- Hands-on experience with WO/PO evaluation and approval processes .
- Robust understanding of construction contracts and commercial practices.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Office and ERP/project management systems.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Contracts Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or MBA.
- Experience with reputed real estate developers, infrastructure companies, or large EPC organizations.
- Knowledge of FIDIC or other standard construction contract frameworks .
- Experience in project budgeting, cost control, billing, and commercial management.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
