– General Manager (Accounts)
We Are Looking For A result-oriented Finance & Accounts professional who can independently handle end-to-end Finance & Accounts, Taxation, Audit, Compliance, Costing, and Financial Reporting activities in a manufacturing organization.
Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh
Experience: 8–10 Years
Industry Preference: Manufacturing / Steel / Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the overall Finance & Accounts function of the organization.
- Prepare, review, and present financial statements, MIS reports, management reports, and financial analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage statutory, internal, tax, and other financial audits.
- Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and fund requirements.
- Supervise and review books of accounts, ledgers, journal entries, and accounting transactions.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts, cost analysis, and variance reports.
- Monitor manufacturing costs, operating expenses, inventory valuation, and cost-control measures.
- Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of production, inventory, purchases, sales, stores, and other manufacturing-related transactions.
- Establish, implement, and maintain effective internal financial controls and accounting systems.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, banks, financial institutions, consultants, tax authorities, and other statutory authorities.
- Provide timely financial insights, business analysis,
and recommendations to the management for effective decision-making.
- Lead, supervise, train, and guide the Accounts & Finance team to ensure efficient functioning and achievement of departmental objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, Companies Act provisions, Tax Laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Identify financial risks and implement appropriate measures for risk mitigation, cost optimization, and improved financial performance.
- Ensure proper bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, customer reconciliation, and inter-company reconciliation, wherever applicable.
- Monitor credit control, outstanding receivables, vendor payments, and collection efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and confidential financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
- Support management in business planning, investment decisions, expansion projects, and other strategic financial matters.
Administrative Support: · Maintain complete confidentiality of the MD's financial information and company records.
· Ensure proper documentation, filing, and record management.
· Perform any additional accounting or finance-related responsibilities assigned by the Managing Director.
Desired Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Taxation, GST, TDS,
Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
- Valuable understanding of manufacturing accounting, costing, inventory, and working capital management.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership and team-management capabilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/accounting software, MIS, and financial reporting systems.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
Required Skills & Qualification & Competencies:
- Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
OR · Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B. Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· M. Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
· 8-15 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the steel, manufacturing, trading, or industrial sector.
· Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
· Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and Light House ERP accounting software.
· Good understanding of financial reporting and bookkeeping principles.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, costing, and MIS.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
