Role Description The General Ledger Record To Report Specialist is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end general ledger activities, including journal entry preparation and posting, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
The specialist will ensure accuracy of financial records, support compliance with internal controls and accounting standards, and assist in preparing financial reports and variance analyses. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing transactions for proper coding, resolving reconciliation issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams for data validation, and responding to audit and management queries.
The role also involves identifying process improvement opportunities within the Record To Report (R2R) cycle to enhance efficiency and financial integrity.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong general ledger and Record To Report expertise, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting, variance analysis, and adherence to accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS) and internal controls.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in ERP and accounting systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Candidates should possess analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial information.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, operations, and audit teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or commerce are preferred; professional certifications (CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in R2R, shared services, or healthcare finance operations is beneficial, along with the ability to work on-site in Chennai and meet deadlines consistently.
