We are seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting and administration activities for a portfolio of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs). The role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality, compliant, and timely outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting

- Manage end-to-end SMSF accounting assignments independently.

- Prepare financial statements, workpapers, reconciliations, and fund reports.

- Process and interpret financial transactions accurately using supporting documentation.

- Ensure all deliverables comply with SMSF legislation, accounting standards, and internal quality requirements.

- Complete fund administration tasks within agreed SLA timelines.

- Identify and escalate complex accounting or compliance issues where required.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as a key contact for Client Service Managers regarding operational queries and workflow management.

- Respond to client and stakeholder queries within agreed turnaround times.

- Liaise with banks, platforms, auditors, and service providers to obtain required information.

- Maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure all work is completed to an audit-ready standard.





- Minimize QA review points and audit rework through accurate processing.

- Adhere to SMSF compliance requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls.

- Address audit and quality review feedback within agreed SLAs.

Team Contribution

- Support knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives.

- Provide informal guidance to junior team members.

- Participate in training and continuous learning activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.

- 4-7 years of accounting, fund accounting, SMSF administration, or financial services experience.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

- Experience preparing financial statements and reconciliations.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.

- SMSF and SuperMate experience will be an advantage.
