Role Description The Functional Safety & Cybersecurity Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of aerpace’s transportation systems and supporting technologies. This role involves defining and maintaining functional safety and cybersecurity frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Daily activities include leading cross-functional safety and security reviews, coordinating vulnerability assessments, and developing mitigation strategies in collaboration with engineering and product teams.

The manager will establish policies, procedures,



and technical guidelines to safeguard applications, networks, and information assets, and will monitor emerging threats to continuously improve system resilience. This position also includes mentoring team members, supporting audits, and preparing clear documentation and reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

- Strong cybersecurity foundation with skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security.
- Experience securing systems and software, including Application Security and Vulnerability Assessment.
- Expertise in protecting IT infrastructure, with proficiency in Network Security.
- Demonstrated experience in functional safety for complex systems (e.g., aerospace, automotive, transportation), including safety standards and hazard analysis.
- Ability to develop and implement security and safety policies, frameworks, and compliance programs aligned with industry regulations.
- Proficiency in risk management, threat modeling, incident response planning, and security testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and leadership teams.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 26262/IEC 61508, ISO/SAE 21434) are an advantage.
- Experience in transportation, aerospace, automotive, or other safety-critical domains is highly beneficial.
