? We're Hiring: Accountant | Studio Blotting Paper (SBP) — Kolkata

Studio Blotting Paper is a Kolkata/Mumbai-based production and content studio working across Bengali & Hindi theatrical features, OTT series, micro-drama, and non-fiction and we're looking for an Accountant to join our core team and grow with us. The ideal candidate should be able to join on an immediate basis.

Role: Accountant (Full time, Work From Office — Kolkata)

What you'll do:

- Independently maintain complete books of accounts — bookkeeping, ledgers, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
- File GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns) and handle TDS deduction, deposit, and quarterly return filing (26Q/24Q) end-to-end
- Manage other statutory compliances — PT, ROC filings coordination, and general company compliance calendar
- Handle production-specific accounting — budget tracking, cash flow monitoring, and cost reporting across multiple simultaneous film/OTT/event projects
- Process vendor, crew, and line-producer payments; maintain PAN-wise TDS records and reconciliations
- Prepare invoices, proformas, and co-production/investor financial dockets
- Support audits, investor reporting, and P&A; budget projections
- Liaise with CAs, auditors, and platform finance teams on payment clearances and settlements

What we're looking for:

- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in media,



entertainment, film, or event production
- Must be able to independently file GST and TDS returns and handle statutory compliance — not just support a CA, but own the filing process
- Strong hands-on experience preparing and finalizing books of accounts
- Working knowledge of film/production accounting concepts (budget vs. actuals, line-item cost tracking, vendor/crew settlements) is a strong plus
- Proficiency in Tally/Excel and GST portal filing; comfort with digital invoicing and reconciliation tools
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working across multiple active productions at once
- Based in or willing to work from Kolkata (office-based role)
