About Mitr.ai

Mitr.ai builds AI-native software for Indian businesses. Our first product, TenderMitr, is a tender automation platform that takes companies from discovering government tenders to submitting complete, compliant bids — discovery, analysis, competitive edge and bid preparation in one workflow.

The platform is live in production: a nationwide pipeline aggregating tenders from 75+ government portals, an AI classification and bid-preparation engine, and a multi-tenant enterprise workspace. We are funded, entering commercial launch, and expanding the product line into adjacent business automation for our clients.

The Role

You will join as a senior engineer on the founding engineering team, working directly with the founder. The mandate is end-to-end ownership of the platform — architecture, delivery, reliability and security — and, as the business grows, leading the build-out of recent AI-driven automation products for clients.

This is a technical-owner trajectory: you will shape the codebase, the engineering practices and the team that follows you.

Responsibilities

- Own and evolve a live, multi-tenant SaaS platform across frontend, backend APIs, data pipelines and infrastructure
- Deliver features across tender discovery, analysis and bid-preparation workflows, working from customer and founder priorities
- Design and build new automation products beyond tendering — pricing intelligence, client workflows and compliance tooling — on the same AI-native foundation
- Own production reliability: observability, incident response, performance and cost
- Harden security,



privacy and tenant data isolation to enterprise standards
- Establish engineering practices — CI/CD, code review, documentation — and help hire and mentor the engineers who join next

Requirements

- 3–6 years of full-stack development experience with production ownership
- Strong in React / Next.js, Python (FastAPI or similar) and PostgreSQL
- Proven experience owning and scaling an existing codebase, not only greenfield work
- Hands-on with deploying and operating systems in production — Linux, cloud, CI/CD, monitoring
- Proficient in AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Copilot or similar); this is core to how we build
- Working knowledge of security and data-privacy best practices
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
