Your Family Dentist | Lower Parel, Mumbai

Salary: ₹75,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month + performance incentives

Working days: 5 days per week – Sunday and Tuesday off

Interview process: Online first-round interview, followed by an in-person interview at the clinic

You're the reason nervous patients relax

Most people walk into a dental clinic slightly on edge. Some are anxious, some are quietly embarrassed about their teeth, and plenty have been putting the visit off for years.

The dentistry happens in the surgery. Everything the patient feels before and after happens at your desk.

We're opening a premium dental clinic in Lower Parel, Mumbai. Our patients include professionals, executives, families, expatriates and international patients who have choices and notice the details – how quickly they are greeted, whether their name is remembered, whether the space feels calm and whether the person at the front desk seems genuinely glad to see them.

That experience is yours to own.

This isn't a role where you simply sit behind a counter and take messages. You will take responsibility for the patient experience, appointment book, enquiries, treatment coordination, payments and the smooth running of the front desk.

We'll teach you dentistry. We can't teach warmth.

You do not need previous dental or healthcare experience.

We will train you on dental treatments, terminology, pricing, systems and processes.

What we're looking for is presence, warmth, professionalism, confidence and exceptional customer service.

Backgrounds we especially want to hear from

Aviation – Cabin crew, ground staff or airline customer service. You already understand grooming standards, staying calm under pressure, service and communication.

Hospitality – Five-star hotel front office, guest relations or luxury concierge experience.

Luxury retail, private banking, premium wellness or clinic front office – Any environment where you've looked after discerning clients face-to-face.

What you'll own The patient experience

- Greet every patient warmly and by name, making the first 30 seconds of their visit feel effortless.
- Keep the reception area immaculate – presentation of the space is part of your role.
- Read the room: notice the nervous patient, restless child or person who has been waiting slightly too long and act before they need to ask.
- Manage waiting times honestly. If a clinician is running late, the patient should hear it from you first.
- Build genuine relationships with returning patients so they feel recognised and valued.

Calls and enquiries

- Answer calls promptly and warmly in fluent English or Hindi, depending on the caller's preference.
- Convert genuine enquiries into booked appointments. This is a core measure of the role.
- Follow up enquiries that didn't book.
- Follow up patients who didn't rebook.
- Manage WhatsApp and other digital enquiries with the same standard of care as telephone enquiries.
- Communicate confidently with patients regarding appointments, services and next steps.

The appointment book
- Own the appointment diary, including utilisation, gaps, cancellations and emergency appointments.
- Confirm appointments in advance and actively work to reduce no-shows.

- Fill cancellations quickly and proactively.
- Identify gaps in the diary and take action to fill them.
- Run the patient recall system so patients don't quietly disappear.
- Coordinate appointments effectively to maximise clinician utilisation while maintaining a positive patient experience.

Treatment coordination and payments
- Present treatment plans and pricing clearly and confidently.
- Explain payment and financing options and help patients understand how they can proceed with recommended treatment.
- Follow up patients regarding proposed treatment.
- Handle billing, receipting and daily reconciliation accurately.
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records.
- Follow up outstanding balances professionally without damaging the patient relationship.

Running the front of house
- Open and close the clinic correctly each day.
- Coordinate between patients, clinicians and nurses so the day runs smoothly.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain a professional, calm and welcoming reception environment.
- Support our online reputation by encouraging satisfied patients to leave reviews and immediately escalating concerns from unhappy patients.

What we're looking forEssential
- Exceptional spoken and written English. You will communicate with senior professionals, expatriates and international patients. This is one of the most important requirements for this position.
- Fluent Hindi; Marathi is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a front-of-house, guest-facing or client-facing position.
- Excellent personal presentation and professional polish. You represent a premium brand from the moment a patient walks through the door.
- A genuinely warm and confident manner with a natural ability to put people at ease.
- Confident and persuasive telephone communication.
- Comfortable converting enquiries into appointments.
- Computer literate and comfortable learning practice-management software and using Excel, Google Workspace and WhatsApp Business.
- Highly organised and able to remain calm when the clinic is busy.

What will make you excellent here
- You take ownership. When something isn't right, you take action to resolve it rather than simply reporting it.
- You genuinely enjoy dealing with people, and it shows.
- You're growth-focused and want to help build something rather than simply hold a position.
- You have a natural sales instinct and are comfortable asking for the booking.
- You build positive relationships with colleagues.
- You understand that a successful clinic depends on strong coordination between the front desk and clinical team.
- You are comfortable being accountable for measurable outcomes.
