We are looking for a skilled Database Migration Engineer to support a team responsible for building reliable, scalable, and repeatable homogeneous database migration solutions.

The team focuses on accelerating customers' migration journeys through Lift & Shift migrations with a strong emphasis on performance, cost optimization, reliability, and near-zero downtime.

? What You’ll Work On

- Build and enhance database migration capabilities for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- Develop and maintain Control Plane components using Java.
- Work on data movement and infrastructure components using Go (Golang).
- Contribute to homogeneous database migration workflows such as:
- On-premises PostgreSQL → Cloud PostgreSQL
- On-premises MySQL → Cloud MySQL
- On-premises SQL Server → Cloud SQL Server
- Develop reliable solutions for large-scale data movement.
- Optimize migration processes for performance, scalability, cost, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot migration, data movement, and infrastructure issues.
- Work toward minimal downtime / near-zero downtime during critical database migrations.




- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve migration automation and repeatability.

? Must-Have Skills

✅ Solid hands-on Java development experience

✅ Strong hands-on Go / Golang development experience

✅ Experience with database technologies, particularly MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server

✅ Understanding of database migration / data movement concepts

✅ Experience developing backend services, APIs, or infrastructure components

✅ Strong understanding of software engineering principles and troubleshooting

? Good to Have

⭐ Experience with Cloud SQL / managed database services

⭐ Experience with database replication or CDC (Change Data Capture)

⭐ Experience with distributed systems and data movement

⭐ Experience with Docker / Kubernetes

⭐ Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure

⭐ Understanding of high-availability and low-downtime migration strategies
