Company Description
Pickcell Robotics is an emerging robotics company focused on developing innovative automation solutions for real-world applications. The team combines mechanical design, electronics, and software to build practical, reliable robotic systems that can operate in demanding environments. As a growing organization, Pickcell Robotics offers early team members the opportunity to shape core products, processes, and culture. The company values hands-on problem solving, rapid iteration, and collaboration across disciplines.
Joining Pickcell
Robotics means contributing directly to the design and deployment of next-generation robotic platforms.
Role & Responsibility
1. Own the mechanical design and development of Pickcell’s robotic system from concept to working prototype.
2. Design structures, linear motion systems, mechanisms, end-effectors, and supporting assemblies.
3. Perform motor sizing, load calculations, structural calculations, tolerance analysis, and component selection.
4. Select suitable motors, gearboxes, linear rails, bearings, belts, pulleys, rack-and-pinion systems, and structural components.
5. Create and maintain 3D CAD, 2D drawings, GD&T;, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
6. Work closely with controls, electrical, software, manufacturing, and vendor teams during integration.
7. Support sourcing, fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing of prototype hardware.
8. Conduct design reviews, identify mechanical risks, and drive design improvements.
9. Troubleshoot mechanical failures and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
10. Improve the design for reliability, manufacturability,
serviceability, cost, and ease of assembly.
11. Work directly with founders to make key technical decisions and drive the system from POC to a production-ready direction.
